Top Communication Apps Performance in Finland Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Finland's communication app market saw notable trends across the top five apps, according to Sensor Tower data.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads fluctuating around 5K to 8K. The app experienced a peak in downloads at 8.2K in late December. Active users hovered around 2.9M to 3M, showcasing a slight but consistent decline throughout the quarter.

Telegram showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $9K in the last week of December. Downloads generally remained stable between 5K and 6K, while active user numbers started at around 705K, decreasing to about 639K by the end of December.

Snapchat exhibited strong weekly revenue, consistently reaching around $30K to $40K. Downloads ranged from 3.4K to 6.2K, with a notable increase in the week before Christmas. Active users saw a gradual decline from 809K to 747K over the quarter.

Messenger experienced minimal revenue, with a brief increase to $108 in late November. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 3K. Active users showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 590K in mid-December.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out saw weekly revenue fluctuate, ending the quarter at approximately $7.6K. Downloads increased steadily, peaking at 5.1K in the final week of December. Active users ranged from 220K to 250K, with a slight increase at the end of the quarter.
